Studio Steen's practice focuses on relationships and learning. We build understandings of our clients, their lifestyle, their budgets, their future plans; and the project site, its unique potentials, local materials, local tradespeople. We work with consultants and contractors as early as possible to understand limitations and opportunities. We synthesise these understandings and, working closely with our clients, produce designs concerned with ecological, economic, cultural, and psychological sustainability and tuned to the project specifics.
